I have NO idea how this place has a four-star rating on Yahoo. City Search appropriately rates this place as one star; in my opinion, it should be a no-star rating. I was really hopeful about this place, their advertisements in the local coupon magazines show pictures of really good-looking food, however, the food is just simply not good. My husband ordered beef medalions with mushrooms. When his dish arrived it looked like three THICK hamburger patties which were overcooked, tasted like salsbury steak, and covered in a thick, salty, brown goo. The manager called us cheap for not wanting to pay for the food and was basically an enormous tool. All-in-all, we wasted $40 on two light beers and some overcooked 'dumplings'.
This place is medium at best. My wife and I have eaten there a few times because of the lack of decent choices for Sushi in Brandon. The sushi is ok, same you'd get at a quick lunch place or buffet. Service was decent and friendly. If you read all the positive reviews for this restaurant you can see the similarity in writing style (I've eaten sushi everywhere in world and this is best). They're obviously written by same person or group of people (probably owners). If you want decent sushi in Brandon try the place next to Outback on Highway 60, don't know if its still opened but they have way better fish.
I am a HUGE fan of Sushi, and this was very lack luster food. There was a small selection compared to other Sushi restaraunts in this area, and it was very overpriced for the quality. I would suggest the Sushi restaraunt next to Outback on Hwy 60, or Yokahama over Tsunami any day. Very disappointed.
Yumm-O! I am not a huge fan of sushi, so for me to say this is a big deal. I eat sissy-sushi...only cooked things. They're selection is extensive, the entree menu isn't huge but it offers something for everyone regardless of taste. The atmosphere is good for a date to a large gathering of friends.
The food is fresh and consistant. Service is outstanding. We have never been disappointed.
I agree that it's not the least expensive place to go but as a splurge, it's worth it!
I personally like the Double-J rolls...matter of fact, I crave them at times! Worth a try.
Portions on the entrees are extremely generous and they will accommodate special orders. Great for parties if you call ahead.
Wow! this is my fave sushi place in tampa! ive been to them all and samari blue is good but they use a lot of scuma which is not good. tsunami is good everytime. i go there about 3 times a month on ladies night they have awesome deals! love love love it
