We got on the road pretty late....about 10:45. It took a while to get the dog to my mom's house, and pack up the car. We drove to Lafayette, LA. Spent the night at a Baymont Inn. Ready to get up in the morning and drive on.... We got up early, ate breakfast at Shoneys...that was a treat. We don't have Shoney's anywhere near us anymore. It used to be hubby's favorite breakfast place. It was just so so for me. I LOVED driving thru Louisiana. I had no idea how neat the landscape is. On Hwy 10 I was amazed that the road is one long bridge. The kids enjoyed the drive on Hwy 10 also. We are going to... Show Less
