Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park, West Palm Beach

Chicago,where I grew up and live,has a great small Zoo-Lincoln Park Zoo,which I have been going to for 67 years! I didn't think there was any other small zoo as good-but now I have found one just as good or better. Great layout,birds running free though the park,jungle-like atmosphere,great cafe and boardwalk to sit on and imagine your on the Amazon,many different habitats-A Great little Zoo!!!!! Only negative-for a senior like me its a lot of walking and the wheelchair we rented wasn't very good,and the walkways are rough and had to run on -they need electric wheelchairs for rent. Other then that we loved the place!!

It was a quaint little zoo and nice to visit. I have visited zoos in 17 other states and four countries so I have some background for evaluation. It is worth the visit. The large albino alligator is unique and have not see that at any other zoo.

My husband and grandaughter and myself went and we had never been there before. We had heard alot of good things but hadn't had the chance to go. Well, it will not be the last time we go. My husband and I were amazed at how well the exhibits were displayed and the banyon trees are awsome. We live in North Fort Pierce and it took us about 1 hour to get there. We have gone to a number of zoo's in Massachusetts, were we use to live and in Florida. Your zoo is layed out the way a zoo should be. Thank you so much for keeping it in such great condition. I went to this zoo with my boyfriend and we both love it! It's a great small zoo with beautiful animals and fun stuff for everyone

The place was very clean and easy to navigate through. We went after a morning rain and all the animals were active and brisk. There is not a bad exhibit at this zoo. I havn't been at this zoo in twenty years until now, I can hardly recognize it. The zoo could be bigger with more interactive activities or even rides such as a monorail like at Metro Zoo.

The Palm Beach Zoo has provided a new comfort zone to my life. It is perfect and the people who work there are wonderful and helpful. I find the PB Zoo aplace now where I can just go and wonder endlessly throughout the day, eating munchies and getting some exercise that is bettter than mall walking for sure. The exhibits are well-kept, clean and obviously very thought out. I love the tigers, the monekys and new jaguar and the komodo dragon. Great gifts too! I'm thrilled it has grown so much since I was last there 10 years ago.

I would recommend this non-profit zoo. It is open all year, has free parking and I got the pretty cheap membership pass that gives additional discount on almost anything inside the zoo. My kids loves the carousel (bring 2 dollar bills/ per kid!) & all of the statue and things they can touch and climb onto, it keeps them interested! They also love to feed the birds (bring quarters)... My favorite part is the outdoor giftshop!

The Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park is rather close to my residence near the Trump golf course. I have visited zoos all over the world but had never before visited this one, and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the grounds and exhibits. This is especially true where a severe hurricane passed through this area not very long ago. Of special importance is the presence of two young jaguar cubs and their mother. In the afternoon, all three were romping about their naturalistic exhibit with abandon, sometime coming as close as a few feet from the observation areas. Absolutely fantastic! This alone was worth the minimal entrance fee. Moreover, the zoo's staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. All in all, it was an outstanding experience, and one I will be repeating on a regular basis.

It was very Florida (palm trees and flowers) and the staff was great with helping us with directions or questions about the animals. The free shows were very informative and delightfully done. The zoo has many displays that are educational and fun for kids. The prices were very good for families and we would definitely go back--a great place to recommend for any one.

not enough waterfountains, I had a bit of a heat stoke midday. But I like the expansion the fountain was a great idea.
