Billie Swamp Safari, Clewiston

…Just got back home to from Billie Swamp Safari yesterday after taking my kid and 11 of her friends (all teenagers) for an overnight stay for my daughters 15th B-day. OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!!!! The employees were great, the park is beautiful, and there were wild animals everywhere!!!! Including a large, beautiful red deer and two alligators that just kept trying to get pass the fence line. But don’t worry, safety was never an issue! From the manager to the cleaning staff – everyone was very polite and went out of their way to accommodate us. The Florida Everglades are beautiful and we should never take them for granted. The airboat rides were great, fast and fun. The day and night buggy rides were AWESOME (specially the night buggy ride) and very educational too. The accommodations were perfect. The place is clean and everything is close by from our dorms. I didn’t have to walk a quarter of a mile to use the bathroom or take a shower. The ceremonial fire and the decorations were also very nice and welcoming! However, the only thing that is NOT FAMILY ORIENTED and sticks out like a sore thumb is THE CASINO!!! That’s right!!! A CASINO inside Billie Swamp Safari…. a shinny, clean air-condition casino next to the restaurant. This is no place for a casino. It should be build outside park grounds. This casino (although small) will bring in the wrong crowd. The kind of crowd I don’t want my family around. If I wanted to gamble I would have taken these kids to Las Vegas or another gambling establishment not the Everglades. I wish they would have used some of the money they spend on setting up the casino on simple maintenance, making additional airboat trails, adding additional tribal colors to the park or having a tour director dress in traditional clothes walking the park educating tourist and just hanging out. Overall, Billie Swamp Safari is a great place to visit and stay the night. The people that work there care and believe in what they are doing. William

Went on a field trip with about 80 4th graders. It has it's good points and it's bad points. The people are not very knowledgeable about the wildlife and different ecosystems of the everglades. In fact one of my 10 year olds corrected the driver of the swamp buggy. He was saying that the everglades is just a large swamp and my student pointed out that the Everglades in NOT a swamp but a very slow moving river. The driver was amazed but didn't seemed to understand the difference. The whole area is beautiful and worth going just to see. Overall it is good, but it could be so much more if the people were informed.

We were not impressed with out experience at Billy Swamp. First there is signs EVERYWHERE that says how they can refuse you service, no refunds and what you are not allowed to do. The staff were unfriendly and unmotivated and just added to a very negative atmosphere. The airboat was fun except in the 20 minutes it took we were told 3 times to remember to tip the driver. The worst part of the trip was that we felt adventurous and ordered alligator meat at the restaurant and where stuck in our hotel the next day with food poisoning. I usually do not write reviews but it was a mediocre experience for a very far drive.

Went to Billie Swamp Safari while on spring break. Had a great time. Absolutely loved the airboat ride. Saw gators, lots of birds, and more racoons than I've ever seen. Our tour guide JR was fun. Also did the Billie Swamp buggy ride. In a drought so, it was all on dry land. Still have a great time seeing all the animals. The snake show was awesome. The presenter was very knowledgeable. It not your artifical amusement park, so relax and have some natural fun.

I went on a field trip with 200 kids. It was the best trip I've ever been on. The airboat ride and swamp buggy ride were so much fun. This is a great trip for all ages. I'm taking my own family back!

We did the swamp buggy and reptile show today.While driving up from Miami we weren't sure what to expect but believe me it was worth it.Our tour guide,Glen,was not only funny but very informative and made the ride very injoyable.We also injoyed the reptile show and its host,also funny.The price was right ,and yes,I would recommend it to others.

We (our family, ranging from 7 to 67 years old) took both the airboat and the Swamp buggy Eco-Tour and were thoroughly impressed by both. The enthusiasm of the tour guides was outdone only by the sheer amount of wildlife that we had the opportunity to encounter. Please DO NOT miss this incredible adventure if you're visiting Southern Florida - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

We went on both the airboat and the swamp buggy. Our guides were amazing. They were friendly and held a vast knowledge on both Florida history and the plants and animals we encountered. The first time I went with a friend. This time I brought everybody and we had a blast. I highly recommend it to everyone!!!

All four of us adults thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Billie Swamp Safari in 2006 so much, that we are returning again in 2008. This time with a couple extra friends. They have seen our photos and can not wait. In 2006, we only took the Swamp Buggie tour due to time restraints. This year we are going for the full day experience. We can not wait. I highly recommend this park for both young and old.

I luv this place, the people are as nice as the kritters, I would advise everyone to experience this at least once,,,, my self will return many many times
