Really enjoyed this one.
Great narrated " Now & Then" tour of Palm Beach Mansions, whos who and the early history of the area. Very knowledgeable & entertaining captains.
I also took there "Munyon Island Eco Tour " during my vacation there. This tour was exceptional.
Our captain took us back to the Jeagas, Ajs, Tequesta & Seminole Indians. In the late 1800's the Island was owned by Dr. James Munyon, a quack homeopathic medicine man. The early branch of the FDA was formed because of his deceptive practices and went on to prosecute him. His most popular cure all was Munyons Paw Paw elixir which was basically papaya juice, water and a good dose of liquor .
His companys general manager went on to become one of Englands most infamous murders and was hung for his crime in 1910.
The tour also provided us with up close views of wading birds and wildlife.
On our trip we were fortunate to see manatees and a mating pair of ospreys, as well as egrets and herons.
After returning to the dock we were able to view some of the actual medicine bottles and original artifacts from that era that are kept on display at the Sailfish Marina & Resort, which is Palm Beach Water Taxis home base. I recommend this one highly.
