Colonial Spanish Quarter

Description

Visit a bit of the old world at St Augustine's historic St George Street and Spanish Quarter Village. St George Street is a quaint pedestrian mall, closed to all motorized traffic. Most of the buildings are reproductions of homes and shops one would have seen in St Augustine centuries ago. Plenty of shops and restaurants are available and a myriad of street performers provides entertainment - you can meet with and talk to colonists and soldiers as they go about their tasks, mimicking daily life during the mid-18th century. Admission is $6.89 for adults and $4.24 for students.

VERY DISSAPPOINTING!!!!!!
We were very dissappointed with this place!! The were some school groups going through it the same day we were and because we were not in a school group, we did not get the attention we deserved. The staff seemed like they were trying to rush and get us out of it. The staff hardly gave us any information on anything, didn't seem to want to even speak with us. The guy in the iron section was terrible! When my daughter would ask him a question about what something was used for, He gave her a one word answer and turned his head. Very rude! I don't think he even wanted to be there. The only person that gave us any recognition was the leathersman. He did interact with us and our children. I definately would not recommend this place. Was a total waste of my money and time!!!

Wasn't that pleased
By ,
We were dissappointed because quite a few of the displays were closed. The ones that were open were interesting, and the workers did a good job explaining about life at that time. It would not be on my top 10 list of things to do.
