Marineland, St Augustine

Went with my 5 year old Grandson to Swim with the Dolphins. I was shocked at the price, with tax $340 for Two. The Staff is friendly but the small amount of time actually in the water is very short and you are only in waist deep, they have one dolphin swim up for you to touch, then the Dolphin does some tricks for you. They seem more interested in getting you in some pictures so they can sell them to you on your way out, to make things worse the Pix they took of My Grandson were all from behind Him or from the side, no good photos of him at all. Would Never Waste My Money here again.

Don't go here, Rob the manager is very rude and in flexible with his rules. Don't expect to be able to take your own photos as you won't be able to get close enough. Having spent over £1000 he was unwilling to let me take photos from a closer location all because he want to sell you his own. DON"T GO HERE.

The new owners destroyed this historic park when they re-modeled it. There is nothing really to do at all here. If you want to pay big sums of money to swim with the dolphins, go for it. I would not recommend at all.

I swam with the dolphins at Discovery Cove in Orlando and have interacted with dolphins in other places but this experience was so much more enjoyable. We purchased the Touch and Feed which was very reasonable compared with what you pay at other locations. The dolphins are happy and playful and want to play with you. We spent a long time just watching them as they would throw their balls out of the water and want you to throw it back to them. The encounter with them lets you know they are taken care of and very healthy. If you are a true animal lover you will appreciate the way they have their program set up. It is different from the "Sea Worlds" out there. It is much better.

Our family of 7 did the Immersion for $189 a person (plus a 10 percent AAA discount that they applied after we were finished). We were in the water for 1 hour with the dolphins. We were broken up into 2 groups of 4 (one other man did it with our family). Each group had a dolphin to interact with. One was a mom and her baby was also in our tank. The staff couldn't have been nicer. There are presently 13 dolphins at Marineland (3 male adults, 7 female adults & 3 1 year olds). While we had an up close and personal experience with the dolphins, those who paid for admission to see the dolphins in the tanks were also able to watch the tricks the dolphins were doing with us. We learned a lot about dolphins and we have a great family picture with a dolphin jumping behind us. We really enjoyed watching the dolphins in the tank also, especially the mom and baby pairs. We also learned about Nellie, the oldest dolphin in captivity (56 years old). We will definitely suggest this to our friends and would go back.

We went to Marineland with our 9 year old granddaughter. We did not know what to expect. We ended up doing a touch and feed with a Dolphin. We had a full 20 minutes alone with a trainer, a Dolphin(Nellie) and the 3 of us. What a thrill. Unlike Seaworld where you are given a small paper tray of fish, herded to the side of the tank and with a person on a PA giving you instructions. You are given 5 minutes to feed the Dolphin and if lucky to touch it for about 3 times the cost of Marineland. Our Granddaughter is still talking about the experience. Ray A

I paid $16 (my husband and I), you can't see the dolphins 'cause the big pool has blue color glass and you cant see nothing. dont waste your money and your time.

This is a big rip off. There is very little to see and it seems the biggest thrill is for kids to go into the pool with the dolphins. The cost is not worth what you get. They have pictures posted and you get to read all about dolphins, etc. Of course they have you go through the gift shop on the way in and the way out. Best part of the whole experience is the view of the ocean!!!!

I booked a group visit for my scouts and their family.If you don't pay big bucks there is nothing to do.The group sales person never explained how things had changed at Marineland.I had a group of disappointed boys.

Last summer my husband and I had a chance to swim with the dolphins at MarineLand. While this isn't Sea World (where they force the animals to perform on schedule). This park is for education and information. The price for the amount of time we were able to spend with the dolphins was amazing. For less than $300, we spent about 45 minutes in the water with the dolphins, got a towel and several pictures free (I don't remember now the exact number) and got to paint a picture with a dolphin (that we also got to keep). I've had friends do this at Sea World and didn't get anywhere near the amount of time and things we did. If you're going looking for a Sea World type place, you'll be disappointed. If you're going to watch the dolphins swim and have fun on their own--you'll have a great time!
