Narrow streets in St. Augustine's historic district lend themselves to transportation smaller than cars. With a bike from this shop, you can zip down back streets and find a parking place you would never be able to get into in a car! Solano offers bikes, scooters for one or two, mopeds, strollers and wheelchairs at hourly, daily, weekly and group rates.
He was very honest and helpful with my wife and I. We both said that you will not meet a better guy! He helped us find what we wanted, he listened, was never pushy. He got our scooter in from another location for us. We highly recommend Solano Cycle and be sure to talk to Bob. He is awesome!
I purcased a JCL 150 for approximately $1,600 from the St. Augustine store. Within 3 weeks there was total engine failure. It has been in the shop with Solano for 58 days now. Today I went there to stage a protest. I peacefully protested in front of their store from 10 until 5. They started by calling me profane names. Next, they called out the police. The police told them that there was nothing they could do to prevent me from protesting on the public sidewalk in front of their building. Throughout the entire day they heckled and taunted me. All I have asked for is my scooter to be repaired, replaced, or to receive a refund. The manager, Stewart, hung up the phone on my on Thursday. I have repeatedly asked to speak with Martin Solano (the owner) and the one who sold me the scooter. He will not call me back. I would never do business with this company again.
Please think twice about renting cycles from this merchant. I recently rented one of the three wheeled scooters for a 24 hr. period. Had to pay a $300.00 security deposit on my credit card. Not a problem. When we turned the scooter back in to the merchant in pristine condition at the end of the 24 hrs. , we were told that the credit reversal of the $300.00 dollars would show on our credit card within 5-7 buisness days. Well that was on June 7, 2009 and it is now June 23, 2009 and my credit card dispute department is still trying to get my deposit returned to me. Think twice before renting from these people!!!!
Brought my moped in for them to change a fuse. $101 bill for a $4 part. Also, they disconnected my horn so it doesn't work, the lights are on all the time and they completely broke the moped. They broke the clutch and then refused to fix it. I could write a novel on how horrible this place is. Just don't do business with them. Get your moped or moped fixed elsewhere. I suggest Scooter Pro.
In all my experiences at over 13 different scooter stores none tops the day i met Mark the parts and service manager.
after inquiring about a few dilemas i have had bringing a scooter aboard my vessel and the trouble ive had maintaining it, a half hour later i found myself buying two electric I-ZIP bicycles and a worry free piece of mind left with me! Thank You Mark! for pointing me in the right direction and god bless we know you will be successful in all you wish solano's lucky to have you, :)
