YUCK! Are you kidding me? I live in Jax and I've been to the Landing more times than I can count because I couple of nightclubs are there that me and my friends like to go to, but during the day its not worth the time. The only thing to do really is buy touristy knickknacks and eat. The restaurants are okay but nothing to rave about. There are a few touristy shops inside and everything but you can find that kind of stuff in any mall. The nightclubs are okay. The Twisted Martini is the worst of all time. They profess to be an upscale club but they don't enforce the dress code and most of the time its super crowded with ugly people who can't dance. If I was a guy I wouldn't go there because its a sausage party. The drinks are watered down and way overpriced. The drink specials are never good. Mavrick's is a more fun bar but its mostly country music. They don't have a strict dress code so most people are dressed down. A lot of the time its all line dances. They do have concerts there sometimes. But they have several bars and VERY good bartenders. The drinks are amazing and will get you schnockered in no time. I recommend the jar. There is a lot of seating for when your feet get tired and the bathrooms are much cleaner than in the Twisted Martini. But if you are looking for upscale nightlife don't look at the Landing. Its a waste of time and gas money.

The place is small and a bit dirty. But we enjoyed the country/western bar. They give free line dance instructions and there is a mechanical bull, which was entertainment in itself. Restaurant wise, I was excited to try Cajun food, so we ate at the Bourbon Bayou. The service dampened my mood. We were seated right away, but the cold, hard bread was brought out after 20 minutes. The waitress went by our table several times and saw our empty water glasses, but never refilled them of her own accord. I had to ask her for water. The mojito was disgusting and the fried pickles were awful. My husband and I have had them before and were expecting around the same taste and texture, but all the chef did was take sliced pickles out of a jar, which are too thick, and fried them. We let the waitress know and we changed our order to calamari. She came back a minute later and said they were out of calamari as well as the entree I ordered. I told her my second choice. I wanted to leave, but my husband did not, so we stayed. The food was so-so. I would not recommend this restaurant.

My family loves visiting the Landing! We enjoy everything from the restaurants to the Riverwalk! You have everything at your disposal from food to nightclubs to free bands. There is no charge! We get downtown often to visit the Landing! Safe and family friendly!

I like the fact that you had food, shoppping, and entertainment right at your disposal. Didn't require driving from place to place just a serene walk in front of the Saint Johns River.
