Loop Pizza Grill
The Loop has an upbeat setting with a casual feel. It manages to combine the quality of a sit-down restaurant with the convenience of fast-food service. The award-winning menu offers a range of options for everyone. Meals are made to order, from scratch, and still your waiting time may be only 5 or 10 minutes. Choose from California- or Chicago-style pizza. Traditional toppings can be mixed with more unusual ones including roasted garlic, jalapeno peppers or calamata olives. Giant hamburgers, sandwiches and salads round out the menu. If you've got a healthy appetite, you can add soups and side dishes to lunch or dinner. Don't forget to leave room for one of the restaurant's famous thick malts or milkshakes. Beer and wine are also available.
The Loop used to have good thick Chicago style pizza. They have now eliminated Chicago style pizza from their menu and mislead us by keeping the name, The Loop. I have been to The Loop many times, maybe hundreds over the years. I will never go there again (unless they put Chicago style pizza back on the menu). If you want a thin pizza and like to feel hungry at the end of your meal, you will like The Loop.
I come from a town where EVERYTHING is expensive, even pizza and a burger joint. For the price I was prepared for a very basic meal, yet this place was awesome and amazed all of us. The food is great... both presentation and quality, the people at the counter were very kind and friendly, in spite of a long line... that they were very quick to work through, and the atmosphere was very good. I am impressed, and since I am now moving to Jacksonville, plan to go to here regularly.
Was visiting Jacksonville last week and went to The Loop on Wells Rd. Had a thin crust veggie pizza. One of the best if not 'the best' tasting pizza I've ever had. I will go back there and will recommend to all.
Tonight I went to the Loop on Wells Road and ordered a Greek Salad with crispy chicken on top, which was extra money. After waiting for at least a half hour and my family was done with their pizza, hamburgers and tuna sandwich, my salad finally came to me. The worker had told me the guy making it didn't "drop" enough chicken so he had to make more. The salad didn't have much chicken on it matter of fact it was hard to tell the chicken from the croutons as small as the chicken was diced up with breading on it! The salad was "WET" with dressing which overpowered the salad which included 2 slices of a small tomato 2 peppers and not one bit of feta cheese which I believe should have been in a "Greek" salad.
I would go to the Loop for a burger, but I would pass on the salads!
