Skip this place and drive to the Southend Brewery

The location was outstanding -- right on the water. The tables were clad in cloth and the wine glasses were set. Wait, this is a brewpub, right? The server offers us a wine list. Talks about the specials. Wait, this is a brewpub, right? We order two samplers, which were promptly delivered.
The next 10 minutes are easy to describe: Beer stinks and the menu starts at $30/plate. All the beers were non descript and one even had bad vibes (DMS - Dimethyl Sulfide?) None of the beers had even be shown a picture of hops or malt. While the food looked good (the dessert tray was outstanding) we bailed out to find real beer.
If you are seeking a real brewpub, go across the bridge 3 minutes to the Southend Brewery and Smokehouse. It's a "real" brewpub, the beer is good, the staff not stuffy, and the food reasonable in price, portions, and selection.
