Laura Street Cafe
Jazz it up with breakfast or lunch at this charming downtown cafe in the Bank of America Tower. An in-house bakery adds mouthwatering scents to the air. The cafe proudly displays posters and artwork relating to the city's annual Jacksonville Jazz Festival. For breakfast, choose from eggs and ham, bacon or sausage stuffed into a warm pita. For lunch, enjoy a varied menu, which includes low-fat, low-cholesterol choices like the baked breast of chicken sandwich, hummus, tabbouleh sandwiches and pasta primavera.
The decor is classy. Unlike the old Laura Street Cafe; Tower cafe is bright and lively.
The portions are generous, and the prices reasonable. The menu is large and the pastry selection is great.
The service was a little slow, but it was their Grand Opening day. The staff is very friendly; our server ( a gentleman with an European accent)was entertaining and very charming.
Overall it was a great dinning experience. We will definitely go back.
The service is some of the most abrupt people I have ever delt with. In fact, they are down right rude. The portions are small and expensite. $7.69 for a drink and veggie plate. Downtown NEEDS something better. Anthing is an improvement over this
A sureal experience of ambience combined with a touch of soliloquy. First coffee, brought out almost immediately...no waiting! And the numerous amounts of biscuits and light refreshments on hand was extraordinary. My new favourite cafe.
