We used to like PF Chang's, but the past few times, we have been very disappointed. The food is no long what it used to be. They fry the meat in hot oil first before they stir-fry them, making the food dry & a lot greasier than it need to be. And the waiting staffs are just rude, especially when we ask if they change the recipe of their food. Their standard reply is, it’s how it always been. NO, it is NOT! This type of answer might fool people that never been to PF Chang’s before, but we have been there for years, we are not some idiots that know nothing about Chinese food, I grew up eating this stuff! Now, we just go to Asiatique instead, the food is way better, more creative, more flavor, and we feel great afterward, and it’s fun to go there.
I've been to P.F. Chang's in West Chester twice since being introduced to it in early October 2006. The first time, seating and service was a little slow (probably had to do with the fact that we had a party of 13 and showed up with the dinner crowd); but the food was fresh, hot, and wonderful! The second time around, I took my mother for lunch. We were seated promptly and our food was delivered quickly and was piping hot. I definitely recommend the lettuce wraps as an appetizer; and I liked the Almond Cashew Chicken.
Style over substance. The ambiance and atmosphere is outstanding. First and only time I ate at this location - the service was terrible (had to wait forever and I had a reservation). Food wasn't great either. Made by Americans...
Okay, so I love P.F. Chang's - is that a crime? The food to get every time is Honey Chicken (ask for it, since it's not always on the menu) and the chicken fried rice. We usually split it, since the portions are pretty big. The food is always fabulous, whether we eat it in the restaurant or get it to go. One time we got the food to go and upon arriving home, we discovered they gave us an extra entree - General Chang's Chicken, a spicy chicken dish. I never would've ordered it off the menu, but it ended up being really good and is now part of the ordering routine.
I'm not a big fan of mushrooms or onions, so sometimes my food choices may seem a little bland - but there are two appetizers there that I like. One is the lettuce wraps (I ask for it without mushrooms - blech) and another is some kind of dumpling (I'm a stickler for details, can you tell?). I don't know what's in the dumplings, and I don't ask - I might not like it as much if I knew!
The only negative I would say about this restaurant is the service when dining in. It's always good, but on the slow side. It's understandable, since the joint is packed every time we go. Other than that, it's definitely one of my favorite restaurants.
PF Chang's is great, it The place my wife and I love to go. It is our favorite resturant. The ambiance is very cool and upscale for the price. Service is always good. I would recommend the lettuce wraps, the mongolian beef, the general chang's chicken (spicey), and the honey shrimp. They have great brown rice (and I'm no health nut). For desert I would go with the fried, bannanas with icecream, yumm.
