Groove Street Grille & Discotheque, Fort Myers

Oh, thank heavens I found Groove Street, another great Disco right in the great city of Fort Myers, in June 2010. Especially considering how absolutely devastated I was when the Ricochet closed. Even better than I expected, Groove street also has a history of playing slow songs and slow dances. Although it was a bit smaller than the Ricochet, it still has a great dance floor, lighting displays, and of course hot young Florida women.

Went to Ft. Meyer for a loong weekend and found Groove Street. The music was great! We had an excellent bartender named Sharon who was just as nice as she could be, always smiling. Stop by and you'll have fun.

I have been to Groove Street about four times. I want to give it a fair shake. I went on a Tuesday night, their drink special. (All drinks two dollars.) What they don't tell you before hand is that there is a large cover charge to get in, and then the drinks are two dollars. But anyway, I went on the Tuesday night because I was meeting someone there. I stayed until about midnight after geting there around 9. The whole I was there, there was no more than 15 people in the entire place. There was more employees than people from what I observed. I went on a Thursday night, (ladies night) The place got crowed around 11:30, but about 98% of the crowd was in there early 20's. I saw people passed out, drunk and falling off dance stands onto the floor. Not a very good place for someone in the late 30's. Friday nights are dead, Saturday's are just like Thursdays. I live near by and would rather drive further and go somewhere else.
