Best food on Sanibel or Captiva

Great food, great service. Parking is a bit chancy and the porch a bit tight, but it's worth the effort. Seafood is fresh and well prepared. Reservations a must.

Sunshine Cafe, located in Captiva Village Square, offers California-inspired cuisine and food made from natural ingredients. You can sit outside and enjoy the weather or inside and watch the food prepared in the open-air kitchen. Try the oak grilled hamburger with onion for lunch. For dinner, the Rotis Chicken comes with lemon herb and cracked pepper chicken au jus. The menu changes frequently and they have fresh fish selections. Reservations are recommended, especially for dinner. There's another location in Fort Myers, on Gladiolus Avenue.
