The Tomato Bistro, Philadelphia

I go here ALL THE TIME. All of my friends know that I love it here and they always want to go and see what my raving is about. Everyone consistently leaves full and happy. They have delicious gluten free and vegetarian options and are very accommodating with modifications. Everything is fresh and the ingredients are clearly detailed on the menu. The pizza soup may not be something you would immediately try, but it is AMAZING and you definitely should! The sliders are table-friendly b/c you can get numerous kinds in one order. The ice cream sandwich is the only dessert I ve tried and it was DELICIOUS and big. They have great deals on Groupon and holidays and if you join the Tomato Points club with them and The Couch Tomato (same owners, located downstairs), you earn plenty of coupons. I have only been around for the lunch buffet once and it was a fabulous deal at $9.99! It had a ton of options from the menu and was a good way to get to try new options.

I ve been to The Tomato Bistro several times, and each time has been very pleasant. The food is delicious and there is a unique variety of foods. The pizza is not your traditional pizza, but that s a good thing. I ve had the pulled pork, duck and apple, and bacon and goat cheese pizzas, and they were all amazing. Good food at a good price, especially if you go for the lunch buffet...then it s a great price! I d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a nice spot for lunch or dinner, and the complimentary valet parking makes it easy to park in an area that can otherwise be terrible to park in!

This place has the best tomato soup of all time. And the pizza is great! Try one with an all natural rootbeer.

I’m a vegetarian and can sometimes get bored with the selections at most restaurants. The Couch Tomato has so many options and they are willing to customize orders. The ingredients taste very fresh and the pizza is light and flavorful. It is also conveniently located in the middle of main street!

My girlfriend discovered this quaint and cozy restaurant with the help of Groupon, and I must say that I was indeed truly pleased with her choice. As a first time diner at this establishment I was very pleased with the ease of making a reservation and the free valet service offered to its patrons. Upon my first impression of the restaurant I was extremely pleased with the décor, hardwood floors and plenty of natural light provided by the many windows overlooking Main St. Overall it was a pleasant experience with excellent food. Very unique menu that introduces new tastes for one s pallet. Service was great and I had no complaints. The prices can be a bit on the expensive side yet realistic. I have already recommended this spot to my friends and family and I m sure you will do the same.

The food upstairs to the Couch Tomato is a little bit different, smaller plates and a more intimate setting. The staff is great and helpful and the beer selection is decent! If you haven t already been to the 5-star eatery downstairs, do yourself a favor and check out both. You CAN T be disappointed! Free valet for customers, and drive-up pick-up! Really a no-brainer for great food at a decent price!

I went to the Tomato Bistro when my family was in from out of town on a whim. We happened to be in Manayunk & I have eaten at The Couch Tomato before, so we decided to give it a try. We has the lunch buffet and it was amazing! They kept bringing out new pizzas and strombolis to try - flavors I would have never ordered before but because they were available to try at the buffet, I would definitely consider them again. Also, the sliders were AMAZING & I may just come back for them alone!! The service was quick & efficient and I would definitely come back again.

Couch Tomato rules, we eat here at least 2x/week and the food is consistently awesome. The menu is creative and offers plenty of options, although I usually end up getting the same thing every time. Service is always super friendly as well!

My boyfriend and I had a Groupon to the Tomato Bistro so went for a dinner date on a Friday night. They took reservations, which was really nice and have free valet parking, which is a major perk in Manayunk. We tried the chicken and waffles appetizer (amazing!), a beer flight (great beer choices!) and 2 pizzas (hot & honey chicken and duck & apple). Everything was delicious!! We were so impressed with the presentation and flavors of everything we had. Our experience was excellent and we will definitely continue to go back to try more of their amazing menu options.
