I have been vacationing in Tahoe for years and have found that Lakeview always has the best customer service and prices

On Saturday June 20, 2009 we asked about rental prices and were quoted $32 a day for the weekend and $22 a day for weekdays. On Monday June 22, when we went in to rent 4 bikes for 4 days they said, no - it would be $32 a day, each day, for the 4 days. (This was $32 a day for some pretty old looking one-speed cruisers). 10 minutes down the road on HWY 89 another place rented us 4 good mountain bikes for $20 a day and gave us excellent service.

This place is great for renting. The service is quick and affordable. They are very attentive to sizing and making sure equipment is ready to enjoy. Will visit again next time in town.

I went to Lakeview Sport shop and rented a bike last year. Its not on a great bike trail like the summary says it is. You have to ride on a small street with cars all over the place. You reach a bike path about 3 blocks down but your still riding on the main highway for a long time. You then are put back into a neighborhood and ride by the smelly dump, yuk! I suggest renting bikes more close to HWY 89 on the road to Camp Richardson. The best paved bike trail is on the begining of Hwy 50 & hwy 89, never riding on Hwy 50. Lakeviews bikes were ok, but old and needed a little tlc.
