Magic Carpet Golf Lake Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe

I lived in South Lake tahoe from 1984 to 1994 and practically grew up on this golf course. Any chance I could get I would go here and play in the arcade. My friends and I would shovel snow in the winter and mow neighbors lawns the rest of the year just to go cash in the money and get quarters. We used to golf here too, and this place never got boring. We used to crawl up inside the dinosaur through the bottom at the belly and stash our quarters in there 'til we could come back next time. I love this place and even as maliscious as my friends and I were sometimes the staff was always very patient and cool to us. Thank You so much to the owners for being a large part of my childhood, I will never forget this place. I live in the Sacramento area now but always return for a visit whenever I get a chance to visit the beautiful Lake Tahoe. I'm so happy that through all the changes that have happened in South Lake over the years that this place remains, I hope it will stick around for many many more years to come. I hope I can have the chance one day to bring my kids here if I ever have a kid. Thanks again to Magic Carpet Golf, it's owners, and staff over many years for all the great memories.

I love everything about it!!! It has the most innovative obstacles and that's what makes it so fun. It's well-cared for and the owner Karen is really nice. The price is $8-$11 but that is a GREAT price! Have you been to other courses? Plus, think about it... they have to pay to maintain the cement, paint, motors, not to mention fill the moats around the pirate ship. It's Tahoe's best kept secret!

We have not raised our prices in three years to try to deal with the economy and make it affordable.Our staff is very friendly and polite.Sometimes people do not listen and make choices they are unhappy with. If the customer had let us know they did not like their choice of courses before they finised we would have happily switched them.Like I said ,you just cant please everyone.

My family and I went here while in Tahoe, there are 3 different courses, the good course if front and in all the pictures is $11 per person any age and the pretty cool dino course is $8 per person and the really dumb storybook course that was for 2 year olds was also $8 per person, we chose that one before we actually looked at it assuming it would be fun like the other courses looked, it was in the back so it couldn't be seen until u paid. the holes were horrible, no fun moving objects like in the other courses. it was a huge waste of money!!!!! the whole time my son said can we go to the dinosaurs, or the fun ones over there??? when we were done we asked to go to the dino course and it would have been another $30 or all 3 courses for $25 each! I have NEVER heard of spending $100 to play mini golf. oh and someone said there were misters, not on the storybook course! The people that gave good reviews must of went before they raised the prices and must not of played the storybook course. Oh and when I told the cashier that were were unhappy with the price and course she laughed at me... Great customer Service! We have access to a cabin in Tahoe and will NEVER go back to this golf course again!!!!

Hey, who says you have to be a kid to enjoy mini-golf? My girlfriend and I are both very competitive and we were very pleased by the challenges provided by this course. Some were easy, but some were not, and the variety in theme and difficulty made the course very enjoyable for us. We recently went back on a weekday to enjoy Tahoe (and play the course, of course) and were disappointed that it was not open on weekdays. We will surely be back, though, for more fun and competition!!!

I took my 5 year old there, who's only played once and she LOVED it. It had a very cute layout, overlooked the bay, was easy to find, and not too expensive. Well worth it!

We play mini-golf everywhere we can. This one was cute; the holes are really short and not very difficult. Although there are a couple challenging ones thrown in. Great deal we got: 28 holes (or all three courses played in one long shot) for $10 each! Or you can play one of the two smaller courses for $7 each. There are a couple misting machines that was nice since it was about 90 degrees. This course is not just for little kids but they will love it! There is also a little amusement park next door with a tilt-a-whirl, salt & pepper shaker, go karts and more.

Every time I visit Lake Tahoe this is a place to visit. It is a wonderful environment and it is also very fun. The people who work there are helful and really polite.

Good fun place, If you are looking for family fun this is a place. Price is really good and kids plays free. Not to crowded and not too far from heavenly gondola.

This is the best mini golf course I have ever been to. It's not your run-of-the-mill family fun park golf, it truly is magical! There are so many creative details and unique holes that make this course a must-play. Every time we're in Tahoe we make it a point to visit at least twice!
