do not threat your customers
By Tavo, 2/24/12
for stares I called to make the reservation on Friday they gave me one price but when I got there they charge me $10 extra to the previously agreed price, plus a gas fee that was never mention, do not expect a lot, service wise, they did not even ask us for ID just for the credit card, sing here and nothing else... then on camp at Hope Valley, I turn onthe sled earlier and one of the guys (the owners I think) came and gave crap about it, which I can understand they are cheap and don't want to expend more gas than needed and later the guide (Danny) came gave me more crap about it and threat me about it, telling me he will be watching me better just tell me you owner is cheap and done deal, obviously I did not tip then a dime, so if you want to have a good time go to a different company

Awesome back country.
By Cookieman, 1/20/11
This trip was great! We had a party of 11. Be on time for the shuttle up to base camp. LTA is a 2 hour tour. Our bus driver Johnny gave a nice narration of the area as we traveled thru the forest. We arrived and received our operating instructions from our guide, Sean. Just llike a rental car, they go over the machine with you to check for existing damage before use and after. Heading out to the trail you get a easy feeling of how fun this machine can be. Once on the range you see the landscape in it's snowy wonder. We stopped upon a crest, where the view was awesome. Deep snow all around. What a view! Our tour guide Sean kept a nice pace for all of us newbies, while Ed brought up the rear. (no one left behind). As the trail wound down the hill you want to play with the throttle and swing your body from side to side like a pro. When you come to a stop on the flatland, this the area to take some beautiful pictures. Our 2 experienced tours guides were great, and the office staff treated us with total respect. I recommend this tour for all to enjoy. Thanks LTA for memorable experience. Well worth the price, use your AAA discount.

Avoid this company. They're nothing but trouble.
By JMRtravel1, 7/21/10
The snowmobile ride through the Hope Valley is okay one time. The long, flat runs on snow-covered roads would be a bore a second time. However, my experience, and that of others, are that LTA will attempt to charge hundreds of dollars to your credit card for a cosmetic mark or scratch from any kind of bump. Never again would I give them a credit card number, or sign a form giving them permission to apply future charges. I would never again believe Barbara, Alicia or other office staff when they verbally describe the content of the contract. Give yourself plenty of time and read everything. Get copies of your forms immediately. They lied to me when they said they'd provide them later. In my dispute, they were rude, arrogant, unresponsive and uncompromising. They won't communicate or negotiate, almost 4 months later. Their owner, John Dion, is the worst of them. His only answer is insults and cheap-shot character assassination. I offered a settlement check. He didn't even have the decency to respond. Do yourselves a favor, and find another provider.

ehhh better times have been had
By Rumplestilskin, 6/10/08
might be okay if you never drove anything other than a car in your life. Guide seems to be in a rush. Sort of felt like we are in a hurry, specially when the guides are talking about all the new tours that were booked for the day.As for scenery nothing but desert They make you sign a waiver that says if you break something you pay. The whole time you are trying to avoid every rock so you don't have to pay for a tire. I guess you could buy the insurance for $35, but that would make it $160 for two hours. I don't think it's worth it. $75 maybe. Oh and don't forget to tip guide, and if you don't tip him enough(like I think I did) expect a snicker. But I hope he's not expecting 15% for riding around the desert. That would mean he wants $18-$20 bucks per trip.I'm trying to figure out what these guys get paid, because liability wise they seem to make you sign away everything.

unprofessional staff, badly planned tours
By Zia, 12/27/06
I took this trip on christmas day this year. This was my first snowmobile tour. We reserved a 3 person snowmobile. I was with my daughter (4 years old) and my wife. I didn't enjoy it and I must say that this tour is not family friendly, espcially not for families with small kids. The guide was in absolute rush all the time. We didn't do anything except for driving the snowmobile to the peak (we probably didn't even go to the peak) and driving it back. The guide was very rude and unprofessional. There were no opportunities of taking pictures. My guess is that tours are planned back to back without any buffer for any potential delays. So if a bus gets delayed by even few minutes then the whole trip is spoiled. The water vending machine in the facility was broken and nobody cared to put "out of order" tag on it. I thought I will take water just before leaving only to figure out that the machine is broken. The staff on the reception was not professional either. They didn't care to explain anything and their attitude was like "give us the money and don't waste our time". They also don't explain the snowmobile insurance of $35 on phone or email and when they provide people information about reservations. I am fine with having renters pay for any damages and give them opportunity to insure it but this should be explained in advance. Overall it was a bad experience and I am not going back there again.
