Bridgetender Tavern & Grill, Tahoe City

This restaurant gave us the worst service I have ever experienced. After being told our party of 8 would have to wait 20 minutes, we ended up waiting over 1 hour for a table. Once seated, we ordered beers, appetizers, and burgers. We got our drinks, but the appetizer never showed up. After waiting almost another hour for our food, we inquired. We were told by the waitress that since it was a holiday weekend, our food is taking longer. I didn't understand this, since there were no extra tables, therefore the kitchen was not having to work harder. I got up and spoke to the manager, who used the same *holiday* excuse. She did nothing to expedite our food coming out of the kitchen. Our food finally arrived, along with the appetizer we expected before the meal. My burger arrived, pink in the middle and red juice running out of it. I complained, and the waitress lazily took my plate and offered to cook my burger to well done. She brought it back..red juice soaked bun and all- and still pink in the middle. I gave up and told the manager. She apologized again and insultingly asked what I wanted her to do about it. I told her to take my raw burger off the bill. The other people at my table complained and demanded a discount for the extremely horrible service. After going back and forth about getting our appetizers comped, the waitress told us we didn't need to leave a tip! Gee thanks, cuz we weren't planning on leaving one after the horrible way we were treated. I would not recommend to anyone I know or don't know.
