Haggin Museum, Stockton

The Haggin Museum in Stockton, CA is a "must see" for visitors of San Joaquin County. Street parking is available all around the park that surrounds the museum. You will be impressed at the size of the agricultural equipment on exhibit. The numerous paintings on display throughout the building are beautiful: you might lose track of time. Yes, there is even an actual Egyptian Mummy to see--the site of many local grade school field trips. Expect a warm, personable museum staff and a nice, quaint gift shop. The Haggin Museum is located smack dab in the middle of Victory Park off Interstate 5; use the Pershing Avenue exit. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy outside in the park under a tree near the ducks to complete your visit. I took my five year old on a Summer afternoon and he really enjoyed it.
