Downtown Ice Rink, Sacramento

I liked the fact that it's an outdoor ice skating rink BUT this place did not seem very safe to skate. 1. The skates they rent out are very low quality and you cannot tie them up well enough so they're unsafe to use 2.They don't clean and smooth out the ice frequently if at all during their sessions so there's tons of ice that builds up. 3. They don't put a limit to how many people can use the rink at once. I saw someone break their ankle in front of me and my friends this recent weekend when I went. They compensated the people by giving them a free year pass to the rink. I don't think that's nearly enough to cover the hospital bill.

it was a little slippery but it was fun!its small but you can ice skate okay.

just got home and lets just say i broke my wrist and none of them cared not a singal one so you know what never am i comeing back bad ice bad skates bad people and bad service so for get you!

I really didn't find a whole lot of positive out of it. It was a really small rink and there were a lot of people which is a bad combo. If your like me and you need the speed don't come here. I also hate the skates they provide you with they are in terrible condition, when I went they didn't have my size available and gave me bigger size I had to wait for people to return their skates before I got the right size. Also the ice is terrible because there are so many people and it's so small. Every 20-30 minutes they have to buff the ice so everyone has to come off the ice rink for like 10-15 minutes. Good family atmosphere and the kids get a kick out of it because unlike me they aren't too picky, they also have music which is always nice. I did have some fun because me and my friend kept hitting each other and we would skate fast and weave in and out of traffic,so we made the most of it. It's cheap which is good. Lastly be careful because your feet will hurt the next day, so be careful.

We took the kids to the ice rink on a Saturday evening, and they had the best time, they did not want to leave. There is also a Stabucks right next to it that was a great treat for us. The ice rink sell mitts and socks as well. We all thought it was really great fun and are planning a return visit.

I was there in the winter of 2007 and ended up breaking my arm in 3 places because of the quality of the ice and the skates. Once the staff noticed that I was injured they were quick to give us our money back, but thats it. They didn't offer much else help. If you go here make sure you check out the entire place to ensure your own safety

Oh so disappointing with terrible skates and a very rude and unhappy staff. The ice was melting and the kids were sad that last years more positive experience could not be repeated. Was it sold to a new management company??

If I wear planning on studging through slush I would have gone to Alaska. The ice was melting beneeth my feet. The only hrd surface my skates touched was the concrete under the slush.

I liked the whole experience thry had little walkers with skis for my little ones the price was noy bad and it wasnt too crowded

i liked thiz place because it is a wonder place to bring ur friends hav a good time!!!! i really like to ice skate and thiz is the place i like to go to do that
