Westfield Downtown Plaza, Sacramento

great place to shop

My only dislike is how we are forced to buy something just to get our parking ticket stamped so we can get out for free. It makes it difficult for me sometimes in deciding what I want to buy just to get this ticket stamped. Since now I usually buy things at the old sacramento area instead of the plaza itself. The things I like about it is that, it's a great place to take a walk during a beautiful sunny day. It's a nice atmosphere and I feel refreshed whenever I'm here. The prices here are decent and the shops are overall great, I hope to see Downtown Plaza expand with more newer shops in the future. Overall a great mall and I do recommend it to others.

Dislike: They offer free 3 hour parking with vakidation but if you leave and come back you get a $50 ticket from the city!! Example: If I come in from out of town, go to Macy's at 10 and buy something, get validation then leave and go to lunch out on Fulton Avenue, then return to shop in the afternoon and get second validation...I get a ticket, not on the car...in the mail for $50 from City of Sacramdento. Bet your merchants did not warn you about that!!

the downtown plaza is a place where i take my wife to eat and to shop. we also like that it i well ventlated and is easly to get to by car or bus. all of the stors make it easy to shop for any thing. the short walk frome old sacramento and a sohrt walk frome capital park. it is a good way to spend the day.

well i liked this place more than any other mall ive ever been to but you guys should make it feel a bit more welcomeing then it would add a great to the excellent ok bye well keep the great work up and just keep on doing everything that your doing ..

Overall, it was a nice mall. There were a lot of empty store fronts, but you really didn't notice them unless you were actually looking for them. There were a wide variety of stores. I liked the layout of the mall. There's an open roof, but all of the walkways are covered, so lots of sunlight gets in and there's lots of shade. Also, the architecture is beautiful. The best part was the popcorn stand! As you're walking through the mall, you can smell amazing carmel corn. It tastes just as good (if not better) than it smells. Just past the mall is a tunnel that goes under the freeway to Old Town Sacramento. When I first heard about it, I thought it sounded like something that should be avoided, but that's not the case. The tunnel was well lit, had beautiful murals painted on the walls, had pleasent music playing and was always filled with people. The mall gets pretty creepy after dark, so try to be out of there before then. It was a nice mall and I'd like to go back!
