Streets Of London Pub
If you are missing your friendly local pub, a visit to Streets Of London Pub will take you there faster than a trip on the Concorde. Go for the beers, selected from 17 brands like Grolsch and John Courage, but stay for the fish and chips, bangers (sausages) and mash, or other tasty examples of British cuisine. A few vegetarian dishes are also available along with a wide selection of wines. Snacks are served from opening to final call. The place is warm and bright and the crowd polite and friendly.
I lived in London for quite some time. This place is exactly what a good pub in the UK is like. Food is authentic and good and is all around the best bar in Sacramento. Sunday nights are the best because of Pub Quiz led by the quizmaster Ken. If its your first time, go on a Sunday night to get a good vibe. Its really crowed so get there early. Odds are you wont win because a group called Handsome Boy Modeling School always does. But its worth a shot.
I come here every week if I can help it, sometimes more then once. It's a good environment, good people, good food, and good fun. Be it shooting a few darts (although the pubbies aren't always the best) or having a conversation out back, it's always nice to visit. The food is good, the sevice is great! the only downfall I have come across is the dartboard is a bit close to the counter, but you are limited to what space is available. All and all I give it top scores and a great recomendation.
Bangers and Mash for the win! (sausage, mashed potatoes and peas)
Having had the honor of visiting many pubs in the UK, I can safely say that while this "pub", has darts, "football" games showing, and quite good "pub food", the decor and atmosphere most certainly NOT pub-like. The sister location in Folsom is much closer to a "real" pub (but still not spot on). The location of the dart boards is right next to where customers are required to place their orders, making a game rather inconvenient. The food is good, the waitresses polite and pretty, and the selection of beer adequate. Since London is 6000 miles away, this will do in a pinch.
Even on the hottest afternoon, this is a cool oasis with creamy plaster walls set off with dark wood paneling
and trim. The decor dates back to Sacramento of the 1940s, with unique photos including skyline panoramas and aerial ...
