Fanny Anne's Saloon, Sacramento

BEST DRINK PRICES IN TOWN. THE BARTENDERS ARE FRIENDLY AND FUN.

I am proud to have been a bartender and cook there in the 70's and go back every time I go to Sacramento. It was a great place to be and to work. The food is excellent and inexpensive, the booze and beer top notch and cheap, and the staff are friendly. That is what the whole chain is about. I enjoyed the regulars and the tourists alike. In the afternoon it is family-friendly, and nights are (were) "Fanny, bar the door!" I worked the Penthouse most often. (The top bar is only open when the place is jammed.) I liked cooking most. the one man kitchen operating at full-grill capacity and getting all the orders letter perfect was expected and accomplished as routine! Fanny's is fun, unique and inexpensive. the food is delicious. go there!

Great burgers and fun atmosphere. I love this place. Don't come here if you want health food. The burgers and juicy and tasty. They have tons of interesting and old things to look at inside. I enjoy most going there with co-workers.

There's a reason it has been around for so long -- the place is just fun. You order food at a window and wait for it to come out, and yeah, the staff will say things on the intercom. It's all part of the scenery. The type of people that care about 5-star dining in setting like this will hate it, but otherwise, loosen up and have a good time. The prices are typical for the California area and the food isn't terrble. The specialty is the burger with peanut butter slapped on it -- definitely a must try! The bartenders are all really fun and definitely lure in the good tip with their great personality. If you're in town, stop by for a drink, an eat, or just a chance to look at the collection of everything on the walls. And if you're really curious, head downstairs and look up to find some hidden "treasures". :)

It has been quite a while since I have been to Fanny Ann's but I had just been wondering if it was still around and sure enough. Why shouldn't it be such a classic place as that. I remember the mid 80's, especially, going there with friends,as we just turned 21. It was a fun place to go with great food and booze at a great price. We loved the restroom signs the best. They had a hand pointing to the other door stating Gentlemen and Ladies. We always got a laugh at people entering the wrong restroom. I will be going back very soon knowing my old romp is still around.

Been a regular customer at Fanny's for many, many years. Very fun place on the weekends. Drinks are priced just right, lot's of good food, Burgers (Jiffy Burger very good), Chicken Strips, and Hot Wings.

Went with agroup of 12 on a Friday night.You order your food at the counter and wait to pick it up. Staff used intercom to complain about not getting big enough tips and when we picked up our food they threw the plates on the counter. Food was good but our group will not return because of staff. We attend different restaurants on Friday nights and most appreciate our business.

We had "toured" Fanny Anne's Saloon before but never had eaten there. We had a great meal. Burger was cooked just perfect. The fries were nice and hot. Plus how can you go wrong with a place that has a motorscooter hanging from the ceiling! Great atmosphere, history and food.

If you don't tip when and what the cooks expect you get poor service and rude comments.. I went there to pick up a couple of buckets of wings for the people at my job because they were the best I had ever had. After ringing up my tab, I paid for the put the change in their jar and went outside to wait for the order. I was called back in over the speaker by the cook and his Co worker a female and handed the change I had placed in the jar, I thought it was odd and put it back in, they again gave it back. I went back out side to way. I don't know about most people, but i tip after service. When the order was ready I gave them $5 dollars, I would have given $10 which is what I had done in the past. It's tacky with no charater to give a customer , what you think is a tip, the money back because you don't like the amunt. And futher try to embarrass the customer and make comment for them to hear as they leave. I had never been treated as poorly by the people their before and never returned. I know a single person doesn't matter to them, but crappy employees with atitude ruins it for everyone including their business. If not for them I would have given a 5 star review, but never again.

Came to get a burger, the guy behind the bar starts yelling at someone making absolutely no sense at all, I heard a number of racial slurs before walking out. The place smelled like a used bathroom, was greasy and dirty everywhere, and the people running it seemed to be of questionable mental stability.
