Château Julien Wine, Carmel-by-The-Sea

Absolutely beautiful wine estate. Showed up without an appointment for an outstanding tasting of great wines. We purchased several bottles and asked for them to be shipped to our home in Colorado. They were just delivered today along with literature about each bottle that we purchased. We look forward to enjoying each bottle we purchased in the years to come.

My husband I are wine novices.I like wine but he is not a big fan but this winery impressed us both.Our guide was an informative young lady who really had a passion for wine not just the finish but the whole process.I learned alot and we tasted all along the tour as we went through the chai and the vinyard and the press. The olny thing I would say that was a little disconcerting was that they were hiding the great wine and only presenting it if you asked.I would have missed out on this wine if I had not kept my eyes and ears open.The Black Nova was beyond belief.I would venture to say the best wine i have ever tasted.Even my husband love it.After tasting the Black Nova I suddenly understood the difference between wine,the business and wine the Art.

It is worth taking the time to make an appointment. The tour was very informative and enjoyable! The tasting was great and you get to see a bit of behind the scenes stuff as you go into the underground barrell storage area.
