Located in a quaint little cottage, this English tearoom has gone through many incarnations over a period of nearly 80 years. The menu is breakfast and lunch; mostly featuring omelets, eggs, salads and sandwiches, all of which perfectly complement the wide variety of teas. The house also markets its own brands of cereals, preserves and scones, all of which are very affordable. It is a very nice little place with recipes in constant use since the 1940s. The service is very attentive and friendly. No credit cards accepted.

The curry shrimp were of the most excellent quality. the drive along the ocean is one of the most beautiful in the country. Add on the Inn and its location and view, you have the makings of a very enjoyable and memorable journey.

Welcome Respite!

The Storybook Architecture says it all. The tasty tidbits we enjoyed were freshly baked scones with raspberry jam, fresh fruit& tea on the outdoor patio. Surrounded by window window boxes overflowing with blooms in the sun, we were reminded of a quaint English village bakery!

Sadly Dissapointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/20/06
I admit, we added the spot to our trip after watching an episode of Rachel Ray's $40 a Day program. We were dissapointed all around. We arrived at a good time (9:30) and were seated promptly. The big dissapointment here was the food. The cocoa was too sweet, the tea was wayyyyy too strong (and I'm no stranger to strong tea), the waffles tasted of baking soda, the scrambled eggs were runny. When the server asked about our food and we politely explained the waffles had an odd taste (we left the other things out), she just shrugged it off and didn't seem concerned at all. When you're paying $9 for two eggs with bread and bacon you expect a little more. We would have been better off at the hotel.
