Description

With all the vintage auto memorabilia hanging on the walls of this place, you will think you are back on a racetrack in 1910. Dine on the heated patio, which has a great view of the valley, or have an indoor feast. The place somewhat resembles a gas station, but the margaritas are dynamite and it serves up a wealth of reasonably priced Mexican dishes. There are daily specials and occasional live music out on the patio. The friendly staff attracts a wide-ranging clientele.

After 17 Years, We Won't Go Back

We've always considered this restaurant as a place to go with family and friends for special occasions. Not anymore. Today, we experienced slow service, poor food and a "sports bar atmosphere" which prevented the very reason one goes to enjoy a meal together. Upon complaining to the Manager, he unsympathetic and unable/unwilling to do anything. When bringing the situation to the attention of the owner, he was rude and insulting. Not the best way to treat a loyal customer. If you value your money spent to experience good food, good service and good atmosphere, STAY AWAY FROM BAJA CANTINA.

We will NOT go back after going for over 20 Years

While the food is excellent, if you can get someone to wait on you, the music is bumping, always. Inside the restaurant, the decor is wonderfully fun. But, they allow smoking, on the Patio, where you eat. They are disrespectful to the patrons that don't smoke and have a BAD attitude if you complain. The manager and hostess need to take classes on customer service.

Fun 18th Birthday- Thanks to the staff

I just want to say we planned an 18th birthday there last Firday and the rain forced us off of the patio and inside. The staff was very accomodating, the food was great and all had a good time. They made us feel welcome, gave our party of 25 great service all the way around!

It's where the fun is at!

The setting with views of the rolling Carmel Valley hills is magnificent. Inside and out, the decor and setup is one of the best I have ever seen around. There's plenty of good, hearty food, and as always, there's an abundance of drinks. Families, couples, whatever, the staff make you feel welcome on every visit. Also, if you're looking for one of the best Super Bowl parties around, Baja Cantina is the place to be. I just went to their Super party yesterday (2/7/05) and it was off the walls! Brandon Lloyd, Cedrick Wilson, and Eric Wright (San Francisco 49ers Football) were there for the event and to sign autographs. Baja Cantina was also using this event as a charity event, which I thought was really thoughtful and added to the feeling of the event. Lots of people showed up because Baja Cantina has the best Super Bowl parties, and other sporting event parties, around. Five-star rating for everything. A high pick in my book anyday. Thanks for the experience Baja Cantina. I'll be back for sure.
