Flavour of India
Lovers of Indian food are happy to make the short walk from the city centre to this establishment. The decor is elegant, but not particularly Indian. Private rooms are available for meetings or for romance and the upstairs function room has sweeping views of Mount Wellington. There are lamb, beef, chicken and vegetarian curries on the menu and the breads (naan, paratha, roti) are highly recommended. There is a lunchtime takeaway special of two curries and rice for AUD7.90. This restaurant is licensed but you can also bring your own bottle of wine.
I didnt like the food much because it was a bit too rich and the service was okay but not upto the standard. I would rate it 2 and a half stars out of five because o the food cause i have tasted many indian foods before in many places and i reckon others are better.
Great food, great service, but somewhat high price. Nothing extra is included (i.e., pappadams). We were asked if we wanted pappadams to start. Assuming they were free (like most Indian restraunts), we said yes. When the bill arrived, there was almost $20 added on for pappadams and chutney.
