York Minster, York

The York Minster is the largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. The construction of the Minster began in 1220, with the building going for another 250 years. Imposing as all other cathedrals from this type, it has its originality, and does not resemble its famous counterpart in London (Westminister). Check out the stained glass during the day, but be sure to return at night.

A little creepy in a horror movie way but just awesome. We went in fall so the cool weather and fog added to the feeling of mystery.

I traveled to England to meet some friends from online. I was taken to York to see the wonderful sights. This church is simply WOW, amazing. The details and art work is wonderful and I just love the tour you can take under the church. It has been built up over time and each area has imformation and arifacts to show and tell. If you ever travel to York, this is one place that you will just stand there and say WOW. It is really one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the honor of seeing. When I have the chance to return York is surely on my list and the York Minster is top of my list.
