Stewart Museum
Description
Set in the beautiful Burnby Hall Gardens , famous for its fine display of water lilies, is the Stewart Collection. Now in the hands of the Museum Trust, this unique collection contains a display of sporting trophies and many of the fascinating objects gathered by the late Major Stewart during his worldwide travels at the beginning of the 20th century. The museum is approached through the "Tea Rooms", and although small, the museum is well worth visiting for this collection which is probably the only one of its kind. An audiotape system is available to help the visitor understand the history of the collection.
