This is a branch of the chain of popular Irish theme pubs. Love them or loathe them, Irish theme pubs are commonplace and although there is a prevalent tendency to clutter them with assorted and unnecessary bric-a-brac, the temptation has been, just about, resisted here. The wide, open bar area gives plenty of room to congregate and the large benches and tables make this a great venue for group gatherings. The Guinness (what else?) is particularly recommended and costs about £2 per pint.
