Don't ride here.

For starters, it isn't BHS approved, so basically they shouldn't be giving riding lessons.
I clean broke my arm here due to falling off a complete nutter of a horse when i was about 9 years old? Its pathetic. Anyone with a brain knows that a 9-year-old novice should, under no circumstances, be put on a horse that they clearly would not be able to handle. It's just lack of common sense.
I also watched a girl on my old lesson here be thrown over a horses head (the horse, again was a 'nutter', it needed some serious schooling) into a wall, then her sliding down the wall and landing on her head. The impact was extremley hard, and i believe the girl (who will not be named) sustained serious injuries, only i cannot confirm this as she never came back. Again, she was a novice thrown off a completlety unsuitable riding school horse.
Also, if memory serves me right, i can remember that horses were kept 2-3 to a stable. This is unacceptable. The horses were of mixed age, height and build, so it wasn't uncommon to see a 12hh pony in a stable with a 16.2hh horse. The standards here were awful. Horses were tacked up first thing in the morning, and were left in their tack until lessons for that day had finished.
I believe that my time at this farm was a complete and utter waste of money and time. I paid for a private LESSON, but instead, i was taken for a hack, where i was only allowed to WALK. What a waste.
If you had any sense, you would realise that this riding farm is not a good place to learn at. I would NOT reccomend it.
Since the incident with the girl being thrown into a wall and possibly fracturing her spine, i have changed riding schools to a BHS approved center, and i must say, it is a thousand times better than this place.
Please, do not ride here. The lessons may be cheap, but the fact is, manchester equestrian center should NOT be teaching lessons, full stop. Or until they get their center approved by the BHS.
Thankyou for reading, and please, try to avoid riding here at all costs. Find a BHS approved center.
