An authentic taste of the Orient can be found a few minutes walk away from the Penny Lane district. Set within spacious and immaculate surroundings, staff serve a selection of banquets in traditional Thai costume. The South East Asian chefs prepare appetising dishes such as Panang beef cooked with a red curry sauce, Siam mixed satay skewer and sizzling beef served with chilli and fresh basil, and Thai style sweet and sour chicken. The meals taste as good as they sound and those who like a more conservative flavour can opt for good old-fashioned apple pie and ice cream for dessert.
This place has the air of an expensive and exclusive restaurant, yet pleasantly surprises you when you see the price list. Cosy and comfortable, the staff look after you well without being intrusive. The food is simply fantastic and there's great choice. The early-bird menu comprises a starter, main and dessert with a glass of wine / beer for £11, which is fantastic value - especially for the quality of the food. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - I suggest booking as it's quite popular! Take away is also available at a reduced rate.
