Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center, Reno

We went to a "live star talk" given by Associate Director Dan Ruby. The presentation was very interesting. Mr. Ruby took questions following the show. He is knowlegeable and funny. We learned quite a bit and had fun doing it. We're taking our grandkids back here soon! Great gift shop too!

After we made ourselves comfortable in the chairs and the ceiling opened up I fell asleep. That's all I remember.

I enjoyed the dome theater. The exhibit room was a bit small, but it kept me entertained for about 30 minutes. We saw two shows they were very informative. I would go back if they had more shows that I would like to see.

Prices are not as expensive like all the other planetariums, but there's a reason for that. Quality of the show was very blurry and dark. It wasn't all that spectacular as I thought it would be, compared to all the other planetariums I've been to. It's also very small, seats about 25 most. I guess maybe because the observatory is part of the University of Reno, so it's not all that OOH and AHH. Not a lot of displays and exhibits, but it was still nice to look around. The show we saw was boring and dull, so I do NOT recommend coming here.
