Loved this place!

My husband and I loved the small town charm and history of Virginia City. After dinner we walked around in town & stopped in at the old Washoe Club. John, the owner?, was a fantastic "host" and all the local guys in the bar made us two tourists from a big city feel so comfortable. We enjoyed their stories of the history of the saloon. It was a fun place and we highly recommend this great place to all visitors to this great little town.
We are history buffs (Civil War reenactors) so we felt totally at home and could feel the history in this very special place. It's so neat to be in a place where Civil War generals, Albert Einstein, and so many others once stood.
One of the town dogs came in and made friends with us also. Perfect for vacationers starting to miss home and our own dogs. This place is a must see and was the highlight of our trip to Reno/Tahoe/VA City. It's now on the list of places we must return to someday soon.
