Description
Since the grand opening of the Las Vegas 500 Indy Racing League in 1996, this speedway has gained instant popularity. This venue has both a one and 1/2-mile speedway and short-track offerings of a 3/8-mile paved oval track, a dirt track and drag strip. This facility is considered to be one of the best in the industry with NASCAR events throughout the year, such as Sam's Town 300 at the tail end of NASCAR week. Several driving schools are affiliated with the track, including Richard Petty Driving Experience , Derek Daly Academy and CART Driving 101 .
