Silver Bell Wedding Chapel, Las Vegas

We loved the Chapel, but we can't remember to much. In our pictures we look very happy. We will visit this month of May, 2009. We plan on staying at the El Cortez the same place we were when I propsed to my Husband and he said yes. We were married on June 23, 1973. He is now 71 and I'm 66. At that time we did not have much so it was very affordable. Also my cousin and her boyfriend were married at the same time.

I have been to many wedding chapels in Las Vegas in my days, and this one was by far the worst experiance I have had yet. The music was bad and the pastor was drunk! I'm working on lucky marriage number 4 now, but let me assure you next time I get married I get married I will not go to the Silver Bell Wedding Chapel. They didn't even let me start my honeymoon in the parking lot!!! What kind of chapel does that???

Wow.. That was a special day I'll never forget! We were young and had very little money and had called around for hours and did all the running around for the license etc. We had went to Vegas on a $880. pkg deal stayed at Treasure Island. Had a Red Miata convertible as our rental and got married April 15, 1994. I'd love to see pics if they still had them! We were married by the one and only Rev Cotten! Who wasn't right! Wow that was a great day in my life!! I had the big dress and he was handsome.. So sad to hear reviews but still no story as to how this happened and did they salvage anything? I'd love to know what happened. Rodney Dangerfield once married there, don't recall the year? There was also a Playboy model married there and that's about all I know.

Silver bells name was bought by Stained Glass Wedding Chapel a very beautiful place on Ogden and 9th street my friends were married there in the gazebo if you liked silver bell and wanna stick with their name check it out the minister Rev.Sherrie Klute was awesome!

Am soo sad what has happened to the Silver Bell Wedding Chapel?? did it buen down how.. what happened .. can any one let me know?? We were married there in 1996 bt Rev George Cotton to the proclaimers lets get married!! what lovely people they were there and we we were hoping to go back with our children to renew our vows... am gutted.. we loved the stream of water that was switched on then off for photos and my flowers from the fridge.It was a classic wedding and we travelled many miles with my mother and step father. How said but my memories will live on forever.

We decided to re-new our vows and we had so much fun at the Silver Bells the first time..we are going back!

My husband and I were married in Nov. of 2000 at the Silver Bells wedding chapel. We had a Great wedding pics. turned out good. I am sad it burnt down we wanted to renew our vows in 2010

Heather - you must have been there at the same time as us. We got married there on 26th April 2001 at about 11.30 at night then went to the Paris hotel for a meal at midnight (after I'd phoned my Mum). A lot of people thing it's tacky. I think its one of the best things I ever did. What fun and the man that married us was the image of Gene Wilder - hilarious!

This year will mark our 25th Wedding Anniversary! We are planning to spend a few days in Las Vegas in August to walk down memory lane. When did the chapel burn down? Is there a new one at this location? It was a great experience very private to exchange personal vows to each other.........Sooooooo sad that it is no more. But obviously there are thousands of people who had come to this Chapel to do as we did. Thus, the building still lives on in memories. I recall dressing in a long skinny room with mirors. What next? Thank you Maxine Dowell for being with us at our joyous occassion!

My ex husband and I were two kids in love and he was in the Marines. We drove from 29 Palms, CA one evening on April 29, 2001 and Silver Bell Wedding Chapel was our choice. Our minister was this old lady they had to get out of bed and all that, but the staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We didn't do the whole package thing, we just wanted to get married. The guy took our pics outside with our own camera and all that. It was very sweet. I can't believe that it burned down!
