Memorable day
We were married many years ago. We went in the 70's, 80's, 90's and in 2000. Sadly in 2004 I believe, they were at that time RENOVATING, or so we were told. We went back in 2006, and sadly it is gone.
We loved that little chapel, the minister was always so attentive, and our best man was Andy (a stuffed panda bear), he even had his own seat on the plane. He is still with us today.
We had made a recording of the ceremony, and of course had pictures. All so beautiful.
We returned often and visited on our anniversary, Valentine's Day. In the 70's we also saw Elvis in one of his best shows and UP FRONT.
I miss that chapel, we always returned, and were always welcomed. We never experienced what a few other reviewers stated. I guess we have always been fortunate that we will always have the fond memories of the beautiful Silver Bell Wedding Chapel, with it's lovely white steeple and precious white cross-over bridge in the front of the chapel.
I think it is so sad that others won't have the enjoyment and memories we have, how sad they didn't restore that sweet chapel.
So long, Silver Bell, we'll miss you dearly, but you will always be in our hearts and memories. Those memories still bring us a smile, just as if it were yesterday.
