Sunset Park, Las Vegas

Very disappointing compared to how nice the park was previously. There is very little access to the vast majority of the park due to construction fencing. Although the park is ripped up everywhere, I see very little actual construction in progress. Will not go again anytime soon.

great park to bring family and friends for bbq ,birthdays ,picnic ,fishing and running .bring your pets but remember to keep then on a leash for you might get a ticket .bring wipe cloth or table coverings if you gonna use park tables for picnic because of bird droppings .(not a big deal .) individual bathroom stalls don't have doors so take care your serious business at home or else where before coming to the park .the park has basketball, tennies ,and vollyball courts all on a first come first serv basis .i go to the park every chance i get to run or to fish .it is free and lots of fun .

1/18/11 Sunset Clark 1,315 10.2 Rainbow Trout LOOKED IT UP AND THATS WHAT IT SAIDS THAT WAS THE LAST TIME IT WAS STOCKED

This afternoon (during my weekend trip to Vegas) I decided to drive out to Sunset Park to use the one mile jogging trail that was recommended in my guidebook. I was glad that it was a dirt trail because it was very easy on the knees. The scenery was really pretty. Despite the many signs that prohibit dog-walking and bikes/scooters on the trail, many people were doing that. One dog chased me. The reason feel inclined to post tonight, is that I had a rather harrowing experience after my run. A lesson i learned is that it gets dark really quick out here as the sun dips behind the mountains. The park is really large and surprisingly not well-lit despite the many light posts (that didn't come on!). I was a ways from my car when it became pitch dark and I got turned around really easily and became confused and couldn't find my car. There are several parking lots and everything starts to look the same in the dark. After roaming around amid sketchy people and getting scared I finally came upon the police station which is within the park. They were so nice and calmed me down and went and looked for my car. Luckily, the officer found it and drove me to it. I could not believe how far away I had gotten from it. Please be careful and don't run that extra lap when it's starts to get dark.

I really loved the view, the excersise, the nature. Bring bread for the ducks, good walking shoes. Great for dogs,kids,and just everyone. Watch the bird poop and your fine.....

The Park has geese and ducks. I brought bread for us to feed them and it was so much fun. We had a BBQ and they had covered tables, and some neat playgrounds. I am going back ever weekend to have some fun. They have a public pool for cheap to cool off in.

nothing the park is always clean and very open we go to the boy scout jamboree every year my son is a scout. I think that the decorations during xmas is teriffic and my kids enjoy them. s as matter of fact we are going tonight to see them again, I'm originally from California (San Fernando) and we have a street called Candy Cane lane that is comparable to your light displays.
