Never again

We chose Vegas because of our adult children. We wanted them to have a nice time as my husband to be was from England. I lived in Arizona and lets face it, we wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. It was the end of Dec., it ended up snowing in Vegas, I got the flu, the preacher was French and I still don't know what we agreed too. My bouquet which was part of the package began to fall apart during the ceremony, the heater was blazing and we all began to sweat. It just went on. Luckily for us we did get a video made and could watch to see what was said by the preacher and what we agreed too, although his accent was thick and he went on and on about things we know. We are both in our late forties and this wasn't our first time around the block. Eventually we remarried in our church Temple as we converted to the LDS faith. That was more meaningful and we celebrate that day as our anniversary. One of our children has married since then and decided the traditional church wedding was best after watching ours. Our daughter is engaged and is planning the traditional wedding as well. Our package came with a cake and limo. We had to get our license ourselves and standing in line running out every 3 minutes to puke wasn't fun. I am sure people thought I had a hang over. Never again. Never will I go back to Vegas because the memories were not happy ones. At one point the preacher asked if I was alright I looked so pale. I wished I could have understood what he was saying during the ceremony. The tape is nice but you have to strain to understand. Live and learn. We all did. Especially our children.
