Floyd Lamb State Park, Las Vegas

Great place to take my dogs for an afternoon to play around the water and in the large open fields.

Good place to catch stocked trout caught limit all 5 times i went BEST in Vegas.wish it was open longer.

"The word is out there for 2009 and 2010 and that word is FISHING!! and LEARN MORE HISTORY!!! This park has a great staff , they are very helpful. They love to teach others about the history of the park. The park is clean year round. Is a place to get away for a day.

Didn't like seeing such small fish being kept at least they should only be kept if their above a curtain size and there is no where for wheelchair people to be able to fish and a place for to clean the fish. A ramp wide enough for them to fish from and an active rule on the size of the fish. What I like about it is there is space for change and the personnel are very professional and on the job. The other problem I found was the area of where the restrooms are could you place port-o-potty alittle closer to the fishing areas. It has access for wheelchair to travel around the lakes. It has such a scenic look around it. It is the first place I caught fish and I have fished alot of California freshwaters and didn't catch my limit then we moved to Las Vegas and Tule Springs is where I caught my limit. An Idea : change the night time hours to 10:00 or 11:00pm. The reason is the catfish that are in there are under the muddy ground and don't come out until night set*. #2 - Submit for K.O.A. backing for a campground. reason create jobs. and a place for those who get booted from their home because they where renting a foreclosured home. . I highly reccomend this park for place of interest. I live in a senior citzens complex and submit for a vote to have our buses travel to Floyd Lamb Lakes .They will be voting on it tonight at the community meeting. You should be hearing from them tomorrow. The problem that cannot be solved is the natural dipping from the geese. That's natural body function. The only thing that is missing is the sheep.

This place is terrific. It is GREEN! There are trees and ponds and the best part is how close it is to our house. We just moved here from Japan and we are not desert people at all! So, this park is like finding hidden treasure. It is very peaceful and just a great place to escape the Vegas feel. There are peacocks roaming all over. There are horse stables and apparently you can pay for pony or carriage rides. We haven't looked into that yet. Yes, there is a shooting range right next to it but that is not a big deal. Depending on which side of the park you're on you don't even notice it. At one point we were on a path very close to the shooting range and it still was not a big deal and this was on a Saturday when both the park and the range were busy. So, do not let that keep you from checking this place out. This place is an excellent place to take the kids and chill out for an afternoon.

I loved this park ! It was great fun for the kids , and they really loved it.it was very injoyable for everyone there are lots of biking trails. and pathes and i loved walkinng through the memorials.I would definatly recomend it!

The park was beautiful. It would have been a very relaxing experience if we didn't have to listen to gunshots all day. That was the most ridiculous thing I ever experienced. People go to a park to relax to quiet, birds chirping, and natures beauty. I would NEVER recommend anyone to pay $6 to listen to all that gun fire noise. It is wrong to have a firing range so close to a public park, and with children that close!!!! Save your $, and go to a quiet park!!!

Just moved to Vegas from CA and missed the trees and greenery. Deffinately a great spot to take the dogs and horses and spend a day amongst the green grass, trees, geese and 4 lakes! Wish we could swim, but just being close to the water was nice! Even got a little history of the place with the old buildings and barns.
