Best Prime Rib I've ever had!!
I noticed that all of the reviews on here seem to be for the hotel, not the restaurant so I thought I would put my two cents in on we are actually SUPPOSED to be reviewing. ;-)
We were staying at the Orleans and had a friend fly in for the day. He had heard that there was great prime rib at our hotel so we made a reservation. I've never really been a big fan of prime rib and now I know it is only because I have never had a proper cut, properly prepared.
The restaurant itself seems rather upscale, yet the prices are very reasonable and they do not have a dress code. Good news for me since it is August in Vegas and all I packed were tank tops and shorts. :-)
The experience was so good that we went back a second time.
My husband and I both go the Orleans cut, which is a 10 oz portion. My husband had his blackened but I had it the old fashioned way. It was a wonderful, melt in your mouth experience.
The garlic mashed potatoes were yummy and their cream of onion soup was divine!! And don't fill up on the bread kids! Save that for when the prime rib comes because there is enough au jus to dip two of the healthy bread slices into, topping off the meal.
The food both times was really good but the second time we went there I have to say they seemed a bit understaffed. The service was slow and although the staff was not rude, they could have been friendlier.
Having said that, it was still a good time and we would definitely go back.
