Marriage Can Be Murder
Expect the unexpected; you will witness a murder mystery that takes place before your eyes. Audience participation is unavoidable, since you don't know if you are sitting next to the murderer, or the victim. Mostly comedy, this is best for adults, but children over eight are permitted. Meals include Chicken in a Casket (chicken in a phyllo shell), Dead Cow Walking (New York Strip Steak) and Three Cheese Killer Pasta Primavera. Dinner and show price includes tax and gratuity.
Went to see this show last week with family with good expectations and was almost immediately sorry. The "elf" wandering around outside the theatre (I guess to "liven up" the audience before the show) was crass, obnoxious & rude - and was clearly upsetting to many of the people standing in line. At one point, while acting as his "assistant" in passing out meal selection tickets while still standing in line, he made a comment about my physical anatomy (and drawing attention and embarrassment), and then couldn't understand why I didn't find his comment hysterically funny - and then proceeded to try to give me a "hug" as this would make up for his outrageously poor behavior and offensive comment. Sexually suggestive remarks may be ok for other actors in the show but not for people who pay money to see the show. Needless to say my hopes for seeing a good show were ruined from the beginning. The rest of the show was ok, a little corny but entertaining. The meal was not top quality but was good enough. All together, this show was definitly not what I had expected, or hoped to see.
I would definitly not recommend this show to anyone who does not find personal, overtly crude, obnoxious humor really really funny.
It's not worth the $45.00 discounted tix we paid for the show. The food is not worth it, the plot sucks, I just feel so bad at the end of the night that I wasted time and money for this show!!! 2 thumbs down .....
I saw the show back when it was at the "Egg and I" and I loved it back then. Hearing that the show moved to the Four Queens Casino, I thought I would take the family to see it again while in town.
We could have had a better meal at McDonalds. I had the Salmon, which was overcooked, dry, and tasteless. My wife had the steak which was likewise dry and tough. Table service was on par with the meal - poor. Drinks are not included with the meal (you get one free drink with a VIP ticket).
The theater was old, decrepit, and very poorly lit. Don't waste your money on VIP seating. It was cramped, poorly appointed, and strangely at the back of the theatre affording a poor view of some of the action.
Having seen the show with the original cast I was expecting the lighthearted witty and side-splitting laughingly comical bantering between Officer Colombo and Mimi (his supporting actress) only to be disappointed with dry, almost sarcastic, and occasionally tasteless humor. Of course, the mystery and challenge of figuring out who murdered who and for what motive along with audience participation remain a redeeming and fun element of the show.
Don't take children to this show!. It used to be a fun family show but has sadly evolved to now incorporate a lot of adult content.
My advice - take this show off of your list of things to do in Las Vegas if you're looking for good food and family entertainment. If, on the other hand, you're willing to overlook the poor quality of food and will be attending without children, you may very well enjoy this interactive "who done it" murder mystery.
My husband and I just returned from Las Vegas. We saw the show at the Canyon Club at the Four Queens Hotel on Fremont St. What a great time! From the 'Lucille Ball/Grace Allen ' Mimi to the cop in 'Reno 911' shorts ('this is NOT my uniform!'), the laughts kept coming. There were more murders for my bucks. A murder before salad, after the salad, during dinner and two after dessert. Where else can you get five murders at a dinner theater? The best part is that you cannot tell the actors. We were eating with the murder and were pleasantly surprised!
Great time! By the way, get your $10.00 off coupon from the internet.
An enjoyable dinner theater type show. A laugh filled "who done it" with some non threatening audience participation. The meal was more than adequate with steak, chicken or BBQ salmon which was very good. Without exception, all had a good time with it exceeding my expectations by far. Discount coupons are available or tickets can be bought at the discount ticket booth. We didn't order any alcoholic beverages so the price was all inclusive.
It was a wonderful experience!! It now is at the Cannon Club which is in the 4 Queens downtown Vegas. We loved the show! It was very interactive, funny, and most of all kept you laughing and guessing all the time. I had the experience of being the "nurse" for the show and my husband was a "pallbearer". We also were very superised at the end to find out that we were sitting right next to the suspects all during the show! The food was good, we had the choice of Chicken, Steak or Shrimp Kabobs which were served with rice, peppers and onions. It was such a wonderful show, I can't wait to see the next one!!!
This show was so entertaining and so much fun. Everything was planned and choreographed perfectly. I saw several highly advertised shows on the strip while I was in Vegas and this was by far my favorite! Jayne and Eric Post should have their own show! I just cant understand why they arent on TV....they were great! The food could have been better, but the entertainment made up for it! I would definitely recommend this show to others, even if you are shy (like I am) it is still fun to watch everyone else and make your own guesses!
excellent show, very funny.
highly recommend to anyone and everybody.
dee dee and her partner were very entertaining and funny.
food was alright, but the show was fantastic.
go see it....
we off again in march to see it, as it changes every couple of months they keep the two main actors tho which is excellent.
