Village Seafood Buffet
When in Rio, eat like you are on a tropical island! This buffet with a twist will give you selection, but it is all seafood, all of the time. Some buffets offer a seafood night that includes a fish entree and some peeled shrimp. This restaurant takes it to a new level. You will find fried catfish, shrimp, seafood salad and lobster tails galore. The festive hotel theme is carried into the restaurant, complete with party atmosphere and wild colors. Enjoy this excellent buffet for USD29.95
ate there dec 28, 2008. have ate at many seafood buffets this is by far the best seafood buffet, keywood buffet, usually lose quality on a buffett but not here. for the price, keep in mind the items on this buffet, ex: raw sushi, oyster on the half shell, lobsters (small but good) prime rib, cold and warm crab legs. this is all you can eat----not a big eater it will be hard to get your moneys worth. dont be discourage by the long line moves fast and if you go to a restuarant you will have a wait then have to wait on your food. once you get in the door you start eating.
For years, I had heard about how wonderful the Rio Seafood buffet was.
I probably expected too much. It was very good but according to the person I was with, they had downgraded things from the last time he had been there. I expected for the price that the shrimp would be peeled and I expected real "Lobster" instead of the boiled oversized crawdads that they served.
All in all, it was good but not wonderful. I guess it's a balance to trying to keep costs down and downgrading the food is the only way they have to do this.
Would I go back? Probably not.
I've been to Vegas many times, but have only visited the Rio's seafood buffet once. I will come back to this buffet every time I am in Vegas. The selection was wonderful and the service was great. We enjoyed it so much that we suggested it to some friends that are getting married in Vegas and the whole wedding party and guest will be dining there. Definitely worth a visit.
THE BEST MEAL WE HAD IN VEGAS. WE PLAN ON COMING AGAIN IN JUNE FOR AT LEAST 3 MEALS. THE LOBSTER MELTED IN OUR MOUTHS. MY HUSBAND FELL IN LOVE WITH THE CRAB LEGS. AND THE SERVICE WAS GREAT. THANK YOU JOHN AND BETH
You just have to pay for great food so if you love seafood this is one of the best in a buffet type atmosphere. Where else casn you eat over 10 lobster tails for around $35 and still chomp down more food. Fast for the day and enjoy yourself.
the place was amazing //the foods at your buffett were just the best////////
i come to vegas twice a year and i go to the rio to eat every time . i tell everyone how classy your buffett is and the food is just wonderful//////////
i,m glad your in business

We travel from Edmonton, Alberta Canada every year to Las Vegas and no trip is complete without at least two visits to the Village Seafood Buffet. Yes, the line is long and a little pricy, but the wait is very well worth it and the food...well...FANTASTIC. Never have we ever felt like were rushed out of there and the service...OUTSTANDING. Last year we went at Christmas (as we are this year again!) and the waitress explained that even though she had kids at home and it was Christmas she really loved her job and loved meeting tourists that come to spend their Christmas in Vegas.
AS A RESIDENT OF LAS VEGAS, I HAVE MY CHOICE OF MANY PLACES........SIMPLY STATED THE RIO VILLAGE SEAFOOD BUFFET IS A GREAT DEAL, WITH FRESH FOOD. I TRAVEL 100,000 MILES A YEAR AND EAT AT THE BEST RESTAURANTS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. DON'T GET ME WRONG, THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR RESTAURANT.........BUT IT IS A GREAT 'DOWN AND DIRTY, FRESH FOOD, GOOD VALUE."
The Village Seafood buffet at the Rio is absolutely the best in town. If you are serious about your seafood, this is the one. It costs a few bucks, but it is well worth every penny. This is where you go when you are ready to get serious about stuffing your face. Plus, the atmosphere at the Rio is very catchy. The sad seafood offerings at other hyped-up buffets, such as the Bellagio, cannot even compare.
