Robert DeNiro is one of the owners, and it is not uncommon to see other celebrities dining here unobtrusively. Sushi bar and entrees are described as "groundbreaking Japanese cuisine with Latin American influences." Famed chef Nobu Matsuhisa brings dining that is delightful and unique to restaurant patrons. A wildly different dish for many diners may be the Squid Pasta, but more ordinary menu items are also available. Try the Omakase chef's selection for a sampling of Nobu's very best. Prices are moderate to high. Full bar service provides your favorite wine or cocktail.
I was a skeptic when a friend told me about nobu bc I disliked sushi and sashimi (from past experiences), but I was blown away by the flavors and the textures. I would recommend Nobu to anyone who knows great food. Dishes I had: yellowtail and jalepeno (the best), miso cod (lots of it), and rock shrimp (its ok).
We each had the muli-course meal every time we have been there and it is simply spectacular. Each one of the 7 or 8 courses is different with some raw and some cooked. The arctic char with latin seasoning was a standout. Sushi was fresh and desert was among the finest I've had.
It can be a little loud but food keeps me returning.
From begining to end , this was a fantastic evening . From the hostess to the personalized treatment given by the entire staff, you feel like a king. There was even a point where a chef came out and asked how everything was. The chefs name was Lindsey and he is a complete professional, along with the rest of the staff. Impecable evening!
The place is beautiful in it's own right, green bamboo and clean, modern decor. But after tasting the food, everything else about Nobu paled into the background. The staff moved us to a new table, quickly and without attitude, when we where unable to hear our own conversation, due to being sat under a speaker. The beef tenderloin was the best I have ever ate and the scallops on rice crisps were melt in your mouth. The meal was multi layered and relaxed, along with the fine saki left me feeling like I had died and gone to heaven. yummy.
