This restaurant at Mandalay Bay is upscale and hip, catering to a young, stylish crowd. Three varieties of caviar are served, in traditional style with toast points or blinis, and available in one-ounce increments. For a modest price, enjoy a true Russian entree, Kulebyaka, salmon filet with mushrooms, chopped egg, dill and Salmon Mousseline wrapped in a puff pastry. For dessert, the Strawberries Romanoff would win over even Joseph Stalin's heart. A wide selection of vodkas and other bar drinks is available.
40 minutes in the bar before waitress comes over, 20 minutes at table before waitress gave us menus, half the tables were empty by the way, never told us about any of the dishes, brought out dessert menus and never asked if we wanted coffee or drinks, bill had items on it that were never ordered, worst service I have had in years, especially for a quite expensive meal
Myself and a friend had dinner on our last vacation. I have been to Vegas many times before and this resteraunt is the best I have ever eaten at. The service was incredible, the food was amazing, and the vodka was the best ever. From the hostess to the bartender and even the manager everyone was kind, speedy, and really made this dinning experience grand. I have traveled all over the USA and other countries, this was one of the most memorable meals I have had. I will tell anyone traveling to Vegas not to miss out on the best bar and resteraunt in Vegas! Try the stroganoff and a pomagranate martini.
We felt like true Cold War Russians at this restaurant. We kept waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting to be taken care of. We did have reservations BTW. The food was excellent and the setting was original, but the service was very severely lacking the evening we were there. Maybe it was a bad night, considering the other glowing reviews. Who knows! Maybe we were not hip enough to appreciate the place and bask in the ambiance. Anyways, it was an expensive experience nonetheless. Viva Las Vegas!!
My family and I have always when visting Las Vegas looked forward to dining at the Red Square. This last vist was a total disappointment. The food was not cooked correctly, 3 of 4 dinners were undercooked. Our waitress was pleasant but gave us an empression of indifferenace. We always in the past made the Red Square a part of our trip, but this will change.
The restaurant is gorgeous and the service excellent. We made a point not to drink with our dinner and have one before and after. We each had a great goat cheese salad which was delicious and I had the roquefort filet and my husband, the beef stroganoff. Both were excellent. The bill came to about $115.00. the vodkas ranged from 10 a shot or drink to to 50.00 a shot or drink. So we got off well with how we did it.
Being from California, where there is no smoking in bars or restaurants, we were a little put off by the smokers. However the smell was only bad if you were sitting next to a smoker.
Our Bartender Aaron (hope i got the correct spelling) was awesome!
I loved the food here, I had the Chicken Kiev, I was there three years ago and I am coming back to Las Vegas, this place is somewhere I am planning on eating again. The ice topped bar is really cool, literally and figuratively. I was at Mandalay Bay on a big fight weekend. Oscar de la Hoya was fighting, so lots of celebs were out. I believe I was actually standing next to George Clooney up at the bar. A lot of celebs keep their vodkas there, so if you want to brush with the stars, at least stop in for a martini.
After 4 days in Vegas and eating LOTS of good food we decided to make reservations here for after the Mamma Mia show which is at the Mandalay.
The decor and ambience were terrific. Check out the two chandeliers.
We dined there with another couple and we all ordered specialty drinks (all vodka martinis) We all loved them.
The filet mignon and halibut were excellent.
On our next Vegas trip we will go back as it was one of our favorite places.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Red Square came highly recommended to us, so we couldn't wait. We wished it opened before 5:00 pm. Had a drink next door at Rumjungle until Red Square opened. I thought the Rumjungle martini was good until I had 3 of the martinis at Red Square. First I had the Tropical Boris, it was VERY good. Next I had the Siberian Forest and last I had Lennon's Kryptonite. They all went down very easy which made it very interesting getting off the bar stool when we left. Whoa! Unfortunately we weren't staying at the Mandalay Bay because I would have stayed all night and drank... The bartenders were awesome, the people sitting next to us friendly. Could be that we were so darn drunk, but not too drunk that I don't remember how much fun we had and how tasty the martinis were. GO THERE next time you're in Vegas; I know I will!!!
