RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! All the women at the entrance can think about is $$$ money money money. Constantly screaming at people, "Did you pay?", "SIR you CANNOT put one step beyond the gift shop exit unless you PAY", and they screamed at one man if he paid when he went to grab his very young daughter that ran with fascination to the pond in the entrance before she fell in. The definition of SHREW fits these people.

Love It!!!
By ,
I always love going to the Botanical Gardens. It is truly peaceful and you can walk all day around the gardens. They offer things for kids to do and the beauty of the outdoors is sure to please adults as well. The gardens continue to expand and they have added a train exhibit, which I have heard is great (I plan on going next week to check it out!) At the Botanical Garden you will find true beauty.

Oasis in the City
By ,
A fairly new botanical garden which is in the process of being developed. Gardens include a Victorian walled garden, a beautiful peaceful garden in the glen with a stream, and benches to sit upon and contemplatethe beauty. A rose garden, an herb garden, etc with other gardens in various planning stages. A garden which must be visited at least every few weeks in order to see the changes and various blooming periods. A wonderful asset for Omaha. A gracious entrance to the city. An anchor for an older neighhborhood and reuse of land that at one time was a bale dump. A must see. Excellent and getting better every year!!!!!!

Only worth it on $2 Days
By ,
Although the main building was quite beautiful the rest of the outside "gardens" were barely that. If you are out for education ie: what's the scientific name for that tree then go for it. I could hardly see why they called it garden, the only way they call this 2 mile walk in a large empty park is by planting herbs every 200 yards. On a nice day the $2 specials might be worth the walk and the very nice entry building.

Awesome in Omaha
By ,
A beautiful, serene, inviting, peaceful, interesting & educational garden. The staff take pride in their gardens if it were their very own. The atmosphere is uplifting. Each visit sure to inspire one to want to take ideas home to their own garden. A lovely get-away. A chance to reflect on the awesome power of nature and the divine inspiration of our creator. To appreciate one of Omaha's treasured places that everyone should treat themselves to many a visit. Suzanne L. Omaha, NE.
