Joslyn Castle, Omaha

The Castle's history is depressing. It would have been nicer to see if the furniture and artwork were still there. The photos helped but it wasn't the same. The history of the family is mostly unknown. It is amazing this place was built 100 years ago by hand. The detail in the tiles and woodwork is wonderful. I can't believe it was completed in 11 months. It is worth the stop.

My family and I were visiting from out of town. We wanted to tour the Joslyn Castle, and were turned away by the Nana the manager. She was so rude to my family, and told us to come back another day. We were in town from Indiana, and wanted to take a tour and donate money to this landmark of Omaha, since that's where my grandparents were from. If you and your family would like to be treated as idiots by the management here, then I recommend stopping by! And NOT donating ANY money.

My husband and I attended a wedding at Joslyn Castle. We took the tour led by a young lady who really knew her stuff! I was very impressed and it was wonderful to hear the history! It was perfect for the small wedding!

Josyln Castle draws people from all walks of life. The grounds are beautiful in a historic setting. The history is fantastic. Bring a book and curl up under a tree. A must see for those visiting Omaha.
