This wine and cheese bar in the Old Market is like a quaint European cafe. Wines from around the world are arranged according to country of origin; choose a bottle and a nice hunk of cheese and relax in the comfortable, marketplace setting. Seating is available inside and out, and, if you do not finish your wine this time, the staff will be happy to label it and save it for you to enjoy on a future visit. A full bar is also available.

Don't go on the first warm evening in Omaha!!

We went with another couple--called ahead but they don't take reservations and have a "seat yourself" policy. Waited like vultures for 20 minutes--found a table only to be told by the waitress in a very snippy voice that they were basically out of 75% of their entrees. This was at 7:00 on a Saturday evening on the first warm spring evening and the Old Market area was packed. Left and went to Vivace's and had a great meal served by a waiter who actually seemed glad we were there (what a concept).

What a perfect cozy little place!!!!

What a perfect cozy little place!!!! Yes, who would have thought that Omaha would have a place like this. Very classy, European-style bistro specializing in wine. I also like their little menu...not too much...not too little, but oh so tasty with a glass of wine. Their bread is delicious too! I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. It makes me feel like I am still back in Europe.

Best stop in Omaha

My husband and I visited La Buvette and fell hard for this place. We loved their wine collection and the food was excellent. Our waitress was hilarious and quite a champ for some onry customers that night. Highy recommended for a glass of wine on the patio or any meal they serve.

Amazing Little Piece Of Heaven

I returned to midwest to attend school. La Buvette was my haven for reading, meeting friends for a glass of wine and fomage, or just people watching from the sidewalk tables. The soups are outstanding, bread crusty and fresh, and the menu always creative with just a couple of special entrees for the day. The atmosphere is cordial, classy and excellent for conversation. The regulars are friendly and if you're in town for an extended stay, don't be suprised to find yourself becoming one.

Whenever I go back to Omaha, La Buvette is a must-stop on my itinerary.
